The Riot Jacket // New Logo

I waited forever for those conical spikes to come in the mail and when they finally did the first thing I wanted to make was The Riot Jacket. I initially made it for myself but I feel like a bad ass when I wear it and I wanted to spread the bad ass-i-ness?

Also, my friend Kevin made me a new logo that I plan on eventually using as tags...I love it!!

my life has been derailed and it has been difficult to keep my head above water. i have been confused, liberated, and emotionally drained, and trying to put on a happy face at work was just something i couldn't do today. so...i called in "sick" and have decided to spend the day catching up on etsy orders and just let myself ride this out.

i don't like creating when i am in a glass case of emotion because after im done with something or in the middle of something, i want to rip it up and eat it...so..uh...maybe when i am little more level headed.

so i am sorry i don't regularly post but this blog wouldn't represent me if it wasn't messy and erratic. Δ

last minute vacation in santa barbara. spent most of the time eating, swimming and playing with the new camera oh and alot of eating.

i had never been to solvang before and i dont know i guess i was expecting danish people handing me pastries and like blowing horns off mountains but really it was just really hot, expensive antiques and a shit ton of people. but, i really liked all the old architecture and windmills every where, i thought it might be fun to go back on christmas when the town is all done up.

i start painting again tomorrow and it makes me sooo happy i cant wait, also my denim jackets are selling like hot cakes and i am currently working on some new designs.

so i got to trim the windows over at San Luis Art Supply and i had alot of fun making the window look like Swedish Alps from the future, and I loved cutting out those clouds i want to hang them in my windows.

oh and the reason you can see me taking the picture is because i am kind of retarded when it comes to cameras but we got a nice camera for h & g, so i have been toting it around all day and practicing...and by that i mean i was stalking my cat and trying to paparazzi everyone.

this snake vertebrae necklace by moon raven designs, is only one of my many favorites that this shop has to offer, i think I am going to stock up the next time i get paid. The cat necklace is so cool and I want to buy one for the kitty right away!

I think these pyramid vivariums by The Foreign Archives are so modern and witchy at the same time and would look perfect in the sun with all the natural light in my apartment, i would also love to stuff it full of white candles and let the wax drip all over the place or i could put a bunch of old knick knacks in there, i really want one.

omg where has this little long-sleeved dress been all my life, did you know that i love long-sleeved mini dresses? well I do I love wearing them all the time, the nice thing about this one by idea2lifestyle is that its linen so its nice and cool to wear when its burning up outside and i'm sweating in a wad of cotton.

i love to wear mismatched earrings, its almost the only way ive been wearing earrings lately. this sword and shield wooden earring set by SmallAdventure is so unique and minimalistic. It reminds me of Harry Potter and it makes me super happy, everything else in the store is also super cute too.

i am seriously going to cry or throw something at a wall if this mermaid pocket knife necklace by Contrary sells before i can get my hands on it, i would feel like such a bad ass all the time if it was mine. Contrary also sells other pocket knife necklaces and really cool doll leg necklaces.

ughh im so jealous.

i hope you are having a great week. ive just been working on h&g's website like crazy and I also had my first denim jacket sale on etsy! Me and my mom did celebratory tummy bumps, like guys at football games.

i hate the heat so much. i just want to crawl into a cave, however i have been more productive lately and feeling really dreamy and young and excited.

I was toying around with a character in my head that was basically everything i wanted to be when i was in jr. high with a mix of things that i have been extremely fascinated with lately.

a pre drawing i did of camille. this looks kind of more "bad-ass" than i wanted her to look...i want her to be more delicate like the empress but with tough friends. I imagine her being really enjoying surrounding herself with people that are very different than herself.

so i did this drawing of camille at the church where she hangs out and the shrine she keeps in the attic of the church.I'm still working on her but I'm excited to see where it goes.

Luxedebris is probably my favorite jewelry seller on etsy. I love how I feel like a ac/dc groupie when i wear her pieces. I really love how low her prices are, low enough to maybe get some of her work in the store.

The very best part about this seller is that every order comes with a "rock god" trading card. I have them all displayed on my fridge and I cherish them as much as I do the jewelry.

A week ago I bought, not just bought, special ordered myself a faux fur bag because I had to have it. Since then, Kitty has turned it into her newest chew toy and I haven't worn it out once.
